Compliance
Onnesha Group is committed to conducting business with integrity and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
This page outlines our general approach to compliance and does not constitute legal advice. For specific situations, please consult qualified legal professionals.
1. Export Control Regulations
We comply with Japan's Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and all applicable export control laws. Where a vehicle or transaction falls under strategic goods or controlled items, we will obtain the necessary export licenses.
Customers are responsible for verifying import regulations, duties, and registration requirements in the destination country.
2. Sanctions and Restricted Parties
We strictly adhere to economic sanctions and trade restrictions issued by the United Nations, Japanese government, US, EU, and other relevant authorities. We do not engage with sanctioned countries, individuals, or entities.
All customers are subject to due diligence, including screening against sanctions lists, before any transaction commences.
3. Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery
We comply with Japan's Unfair Competition Prevention Act, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act, and similar laws. We prohibit any form of corruption, bribery, or improper payment.
Facilitation payments are strictly prohibited. Any gifts, hospitality, or entertainment provided to business partners, agents, or third parties must comply with our internal policies.
4. Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
In accordance with Japan's Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds, we are committed to preventing money laundering and terrorist financing. Suspicious transactions will be promptly reported to the relevant authorities.
We conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and verify, to a reasonable extent, the purpose and source of funds for transactions.
5. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal information is handled lawfully and fairly in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable data protection laws and implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal data.
6. Fair Competition and Trade Practices
We comply with antitrust and competition laws and do not engage in price fixing, bid rigging, or any unfair trade practices. We maintain fair and transparent business dealings.
7. Reporting and Whistleblowing
We encourage all officers and employees to promptly report any suspected violation of law or ethical concern. We maintain a whistleblowing system that protects reporters from retaliation.
We also take seriously any reports from business partners or other third parties.
8. Ongoing Commitment
We regularly review our compliance framework and continuously improve it in response to legal developments and societal expectations. This policy may be revised without prior notice, and the latest version will be posted on this page.
